Chris Liz and Angela Connors would like to thank the First Parish Church for the generous donation to help bring relief to villagers in Malawi.

We purchased two bicycle ambulances for a village in Malawi. These ambulances are used to bring seriously ill AIDS patients to medical facilities. Since there are very few cars in Malawi, most everything is moved by bicycle or by foot. With these ambulances, the patient is strapped to a cot, which is then attached to a bicycle and the bike is either ridden or pushed to the medical services. Without the bicycle ambulance, the patient would have to walk or be carried to the facility.
